Cooper S Conv 2004 - Reverse light & PDC

Hi

We have a 2004 Coopers S Convertible. At the same time the reverse lights and the reverse beep beeps seem to have stopped working, anyone any suggestions, does anyone know if these run off the same fuse??

Does not having a reverse light fail an MOT??

no light is an MOT fail, check your fuses, but it is more likely to be your reverse switch on the gearbox, easy to change and does not cost too much, you can unplug it and make the contact, if the lights come on then the switch has gone, its under the airbox by the gearbox links, its the only thing with wires on coming from the gearbox, other way to get to it it to drop the passenger side wheel arch off.
