After little less than a year of TVR ownership i have sold her on.
For any potential Chim owners out there don't be put off - The main reasons for my change were.
Lack of trust in the cars reliability (Down to having some problems early on, which were fixed) but i had already lost trust.
Turned out not to be the ideal everyday car i thought it could be. I found if i used it like my motorbike, ie sunny days off going for a blast you can't beat it!
Wasn't really me i had previously had a few 4X4's and missed the 'go anywhere, leave it parked anywhere' feeling.
A lot of the problem i found with the car was down to my attitude of the loss of trust, not wanting to leave it in anything but the best areas, the inability to anywhere in it.
If you are someone who does a journey daily journey on mainly flowing roads you'll love a Chim. If you put up with spending time tinkering with it and put up with the possibillity of the common BIG service bills then all will be well.
I still think they look lurvly , sound the b***ocks and go like stink.
But when people on hear say to 'go into ownership with your eyes wideopen' it's very true.
So i have gone for another 4x4, SWB Shogun 3.5 V6 triptonic with lots of toys.

Sorry to hear that, I have had three TVRS and have always had a break with a normal car in between...however it is like a drug once you have owned one you will always want to come back to owning another one...All my cars have been rock solid reliable and never broken down...it is a bit of russian roulette with whether you get a good reliable one though...
I KNOW you will come back into the TVR fold in the future..
