as embaressing as it will be i can see myself useing it quite a bit as the bm struggles to get into the 20's

many thanks. dave

Try the Auto Trader MPG figures and take off about 20%

I've got an Escort with a slightly older evolution of the 1.3 pushrod engine that was in the early ones, and it gets an easy 40 odd mixed town and A road. Bizarrely that's only on BP fuel confused From Tesco 35ish consistent.

My old ka2 (with aircon) did about 45 average.

I did have it on fuel saver tyres though.

My other half's got one; it's a cracking little car.

Only does ~37mpg though which is a bit poor.

Have a Fiesta MK4 with a slightly older Endura-E engine, drive everywhere flat out more or less (only way to keep up with traffic), and get 38-42 mpg. According to Parkers, the Fiesta has a 40L tank, but I can only get about 31 in, which lasts about 260-300 miles.

My '02 Ka averaged 47mpg, though it was hardly ever in a traffic jam. I believe heavy traffic, and especially the air-con system really hurts the Ka.
