Tokyo camera shop recommendations

I'm off to Tokyo soon and I'm after the best places for Nikon kit - new and secondhand. Are there any Nikon specialists? What are the new and used prices like. I've done a google search but the online info is quite dated.

It could be the US exchange rate but I found electronics expensive when compared to the US. You may not be getting the deal you expect

With the current exchange rate, new stuff is as expensive as the UK, if not more so.

I'm mainly after used prime lenses, 24mm, 85mm 1.4 and 105mm, maybe an F6 and if its cheap a Mamiya 645 AFS. I've heard the Japanese are constantly trading up and thus low-use SH kit abounds at good prices, especially film stuff. I just need to know where to go, the specialist Nikon SH shop for example, I wont have much time so straight in / out. I can make a vfm judgement there based on what I can get stuff here for.

There isn't "1" Nikon shop - the market here is so huge it supports a network of shops dealing with 2nd hand kit. I can think of 3 off the top of my head.

How much time are you going to have? To get to Naka-meguro, have a look at the shop and get back to central Tokyo is a half day...
I will ask my contact about the lenses you mention.

I'll probably have 1/2 day 'free' another 3 in Tokyo that I could sneak out for an hour or two and two in Kyoto - only half a day free there. So I guess that limits things to centralish Tokyo.
