Rapid Loss of Oil

Noticed oil on driveway where TVR had been parked yesterday. Had a look underneath car. Couple of drops of oil on underside of engine. Checked oil level, seemed okay. Had to travel 170 miles today. On the return journey I passed the garage where I get it serviced so I thought I would drop in. Chap got it up on his ramp and had a swift look around. Oil was seeping out of oil pressure sensor when engine was running. He got a spanner to see if it had worked loose. As soon as he touched it, the sensor came loose, dangling on the wires attached to it and all the oil had dumped itself on the floor. The brass adaptor attached to the end of the sensor had sheered through. Might have been nasty if it had happened on the road. Phew!
