You can book through the P&O site, heres the link:
https://www.poferries.com/tourist/content/pages/te...
I just had a look and it would cost £24 for 2 adults, 2 children and a car leaving at 9;20 and getting the 18:00 boat back. Plus the 6 bottles of wine. You might be able to get it cheaper if you play about with the times a bit!

just booked a day trip yesterday P&O Dover calais £19 return and you get 6 bottles of plonk!
Really!! Did you book direct? Can you get off the boat? Tel number or link would be handy, pleaseWhen it opens just below where you select which route and time you want there's box which refreshes every few seconds, wait until it brings up the special offer I mentioned (NOT the £39 one) click on it and Pierres your uncle. Need to book on line and soon its not on for long. yes you get off the boat, I'm having a few hours in Calais (purely for alcoholic purposes.
BTW not a lot of people know about the P&O bulk buy service. In the duty free shop you tell one of the staff that you want to bulk buy, they give you a form which you put down what you want and pay for it. They give you a slip to hand in at check in, they load you near the lift on the return trip. Go straght to DF shop and they have your booze ready in a wheeled cage, they take you down to the car and help you load. Simples!! Done it several times HIC!!!
