I think that's a bit of a con " A really outstanding late model example of the Tuscan 2 ." I guess its one of the earliest Tuscan 2s ever made, because only a handfull of early MK2 Targas had 3.6 engines. Anyone buying it should check the VIN plate for the build year, as opposed to the first registered date indicated by the '07' plate.
The front and rear light surrounds are also painted black and not body colour..I real giveaway thats its a 2005 car.
Not sure exactly what is meant by "This car has not only been fully serviced but had the benefit of extensive performance improvements at Racing Green . Power output now recorded at 385 bhp ." ???????

. The one the OP refers to is detailed here which is a Tuscan S http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2416803.htmThe advert you are referring to is here and is clearly a different car http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2293601.htm

I looked at this car before buying my one from Fernhurst recently, and researched a little into its history, as I was very interested in buying it. It's a Mk 2 'S' registered in February 2008, with 4k miles on the clock and one owner. However, like NTEL and glow worm, I believe it was built in early to mid 2005, as it doesn't have the wavy dash that came in towards the end of 2005, so must have been sitting around for a while before being registered.

You are quite correct Dave, I have the wrong one. Amazing two 2005 cars being advertised at the same time , one 1st registered in 2007 and one in 2008. But mines is a TVR not a TVT

Think the chassis is where they got the build date from.
I have a mk3 07 bought car but early "build" date on the chassis bottom square rail(not VIN in whigh the 9th? number gives another year)(black eyed headlights)
I also have a virgin mk3 chassis bought late 08 again with a early build date on the bottom rail(no vin)
Might of built a glut of chassis to sit till the body type was ordered?
As the chassis comes Date stamped but not chassis numbered
We posted on this before if I remember
Str8t six or Racing Green may know more.
If the above car has been a "stock" car it could of been stood around hidden by a dealer until sold and finally registered or caught out as old model when the mk3 was released so stuck a bit
Thers a Vanquish on the owners club site was the last new car ever sold but a few years older than the last car made.
