Exhaust options

Hello all,

Thought I'd get some opinions off fellow owners on this one.

Having just got my self a Griff 500 I'm in the process of doing a few bits & bobs to it ready for the summer, one of which being the exhaust.
Some tasters from previous TVR's -
My 2 Chimaeras I owned were left standard in the exhaust department but I've heard some MUCH better noise from RV8's over the years.
My Tuscan had the exhaust sleeved which was great for pops & bangs on over-run and great sounding at revs.
My Tamora had a JP back box which was great for over-run but too harsh at revs and long runs would give me a headache!

So, does anyone have a video of one with just a sleeved exhaust, one with the ACT system (£525 ish?)
and then any other varients that are possible without going bonkers on cost!
Sleeving the Tuscan cost me about £60 if I recall.

Any samples would be much appreciated!

Don't know if this helps but may have brand new Full ACT system for sale as not sure if will be used as now going down the LS route, will know in the next month or so if its of any interest?
I was running a full decat with straight through pipes, all i can say is it was not for the faint hearted and the only people who hated me more than my nieghbours were the marshals at Oulton Park!
Measured 119 db at the growl last year, horses for courses, will say that with the main cat out it did turn a bit dustbin like if that makes any sense!!!

Which ACT system might you have for sale, the replica manifolds and Y piece or the tuned manifolds with bolt in Cats?

I went with the ACT sports manifolds and decat pipes but kept the standard exhaust. Sleeved exhausts always sound a bit crap to me but this combination sounds brilliant. It does smell a bit though!

I'll stick with my sleeved exhaust and no pre cats for now. Vid sounds great but just happened to have found the right sound for me. Have had more than enough compliments on how it sounds. They do all seem to differ from car to car though no matter what you do to them
Think it's a case of suck it and see.

I have a clip and sound of "just the sleeved exhaust" as requested with all the rest still in place, original cat y-piece and also precats still in manilolds:

I have gradually progressed with changing for an ACT decat y-piece and clip of results:

Finally had precats removed and this is as it sounds now, straight through and the only way to have a V8 in my opinion:

That sounds awful,sleeved is not how a V8 should sound,its just a nuisance,sorry.
