Eye Test, How Long After Squint Surgery.

Sorry it's long winded...
I had squint surgery on 24-01, one muscle altered on both eyes, the squint (intermittent left eye drifted outwards when distance viewing) seems corrected. I am still suffering from double vision which is apparently normal after the Op. (the brain readjusting I believe) I am still wearing my glasses as normal as advised (short sighted, but wear glasses all the time) the thing that I am notice is I can not see clearly for reading whilst wearing glasses unless I close any one eye.
Is this normal, will my reading vision return to pre Op. in time? When is the soonest I should go for an eye test/order new glasses?
I'm back to the Opthamolagist in a couple of weeks so I sure questions will be answered then, just don't like walking around unable to see properly.
