Running costs for Gallardo
Discussion
Am thinking about buying a used Gallardo Spyder for light weekend use and the odd trackday. Can anyone with ownership history give me a heads up on likely running costs per year, ignoring petrol, tyres and insurance?
Not sure if there is much alternative to main dealer service costs i.e specialist lambo outfits that know their stuff and are more reasonably priced.
Appreciate these are not cheap to run but am interested to compare likely running costs versus R8 V10 and 997 GT3/RS
Thanks

I've had mine 1 year exactly, and its just going in for a service £800+VAT
As it went out of warranty during this year I paid £150 to have a full going over with Lamborghini just before the warranty expired to see if I could get any last minute claims in, they found nothing.
I have had no other expenses other than my choice to add Lp560 bumper and RSC sports exhaust.
So this year so far has cost me just under £1000 and I've done 4000 miles. I have obviously used brakes and tyres and clutch in this time, but all are fine so I will only account for those when they actually need attention.
The one thing I would definitely keep a reserve for is the clutch. Obviously its massively dependant on driving style, of both you and previous owner, but they are quite sensitive and £3k to replace, so its worth going in with open eyes that this could be a reality at some point and making sure you budget for that.

Like Dave says, there are lots on Indie's around. Obv some better than others. But the good ones are substantially cheaper than main dealers and give a much much better service and all round experience.Try the search link, this question comes up regularly.

Running costs. Likewise apart from service(annual) £500 from v good indie. Think you'll find the biggest regualar expenses are: Fuel, Insurance, Road Tax.
