Discussion
I've used Simply before http://www.simplytravel.co.uk/st/getHomePageSun.do - they were good and also Thomson.

Hi all - just wanted to see if you had any company recomendations for villa holidays? Apart from James v... is there anyone else who runs a one stop shop (flights/villas). Dont fancy getting there with the wife and Kids to find out the villa doesnt exist!
Cheers
My villa in Barbados exists if that interests youCheers
Always found these very high quality http://www.villaplus.com/
I used this agency twice and they were very good. I don't think they arrange flights for you though.

+1 for VillaPlus, used them last year for a family villa in Mallorca. This is not a one stop shop, went there 7 years ago. Very good villas (go for the penthouse apartments), good value but you will have to arrange your flights separately, which adds to the value if you book early.
They guy in the UK was called Steve, and was totally reliable with English people on site managing his business locally.
If you like Tenerife (I don't particularly), it is not bad. Golf del Sur is quiet, but close to a little square of restaurants and bars. Beaches are typical Tenerife though (crap unless you go to a manmade beach).

Just booked a holiday to Majorca through this lot: www.villaparade.co.uk/home.aspx.
One stop s all very well but let's take an example. Through one of these firms, for a family of six, you're looking at over £4000 in July for a week. Doing it yourself, you can get it as cheap as £2500. Quite a difference. I book villas direct with the owners all the time and haven't had a problem once, it's just a lot of legwork finding a flight and villa that coincide.
