Sports Presenters and Pundits... why do you do it!?

What is with this new(ish) trend with Sky Sports presenters and pundits?

When the person next to them asks a question - be it presenter or pundit - instead of addressing their answer to that person, they instead choose to talk directly at the camera... I don't know why but I find this annoying.

The first person I remember doing it was Butch Harmon when the Golf was on. It's a little strange but I don't mind it.
