There's a very helpful chap on here called RKDE, I'm sure he can give you some advice... In fact I'm sure he has posts something about fitting too

You've got Palmer Brothers in Mottingham, BMWise in bexleyheath and the only other one I know is Bromley Minis in Edison Rd. Never used any of them so I have no idea on prices or quality of work. Maybe of use to get quotes etc

Generally the list of people there are good, mini craft, palmer brothers, 1320 (a bit further away)

As a guide 400 - 500 is the London price, the rest of the country should be looking about 300 - 350 those prices all may exclude the clutch when the job is done make sure they do the following;

  • Clutch plate
  • Release bearing
  • bearing guide and three bolts
You may wish for the flywheel to be faced but this totally depends on the condition.

It not a huge job but is still a pain to do, there is very little to go wrong so other garages may be able to help too. essentially they either remove the front modular unit and keep the subframe on or they will drop the subframe and take off the front too. I used to drop the sub frame but now leave it on because all the steering needs to be separated and I find it takes longer. Each garage and guide book will be different. I have done quite a few clutches and have found my best way
