the wife has just discovered that my planned new carpets for the wedge will cost more then the new carpet for our hall/stairs/landing, didn't mention about recolouring the leather, save that one for another day.

Tell her carpet is always cheaper in bulk but if shes having none of it say ok yourll use the off cuts from the hall carpet..Just make sure its the same colour as the one for the car..Oh and remember to hide or eat the reciept..Ziga

Would tell that I spend more time in the car than I do on the stairs, but she may tell me to go and live in the car!

Try and persuade her to have the same carpet as you want for the car complete with leather bound edges lol!!
