mk2 rs or mk1 eunos for weekend/track car?
Discussion
Hello again.
I have established an import mk2 I have seen is a RS with a LSD etc. Now for my next question, is this the best option for a fun weekend/track car or would I be better off with a mk1 eunos?
As well as using it on the road and at track days I might also see if I can get to something like a car control day. So although I do like this mk2 I am a touch concerned it will not feel quite as fun as a mk1 on track, can you slide it about as easily etc? On the other hand the RS did feel quite fast which I liked! Would a mk1 feel slow in comparison?
If I do go for mk1 is the 1.8 eunos with torsen LSD the best bet or is the 1.6 with the vlsd just as good?
One last thing do all mk1 1.6 eunos have a VLSD?
Anyway thanks for all the advice, just want to get as much advice as possible before taking the plunge.

Just buy it. The Mk1 & Mk2 are 95% the same under the skin - the Mk2 just has slightly different suspension geometry giving it a more comfortable ride. If you are using it for track days then you'll probably want to replace the suspension in which case there will be even less difference between it and a Mk1. Both stick/slide the same, neither is "better" than the other.
