i owe maiden a big apology. when final frontier came out and the "el dorado" single i wasn't impressed at all.it was only watching flight 666 the other week that immediately reminded me of why i grew up with maiden.went straight to hmv and bought up the whole remastered back catalogue.i left maiden alone because after 7th son i though no prayer for the dying was bks.i take it all back.i've spent the last 2 weeks rocking out to all of it right from "iron maiden" right up to "final frontier".

Final Frontier album is a real grower, it probably was the third time of listening before I really 'got it' but after that, I couldn't stop listening to it for a considerable amount of time.

Isle of Avalon is for me one the best they have ever done...A MUST DO LIVE track...

the no prayer tour was ok - really scaled down stage show but by then you could see Bruce was losing his enthusiasm....the no prayer album was a really tame production and Janicks' first iirc....

I'm not his biggest fan tbh...

roll on sheffield!!

I'm afraid I've had it for ages now and still think it's a load of the same old same old bks frown

Very disappointed but I suppose that's what you get when any one person has so much power in a band.
ETA Not a fan of Gers either. The Smith-Murry combination was/is untouchable. Gers is a very messy guitarist.

Nice one, I can't remember if I'm seeing them on the 5th or 6th of August. I hope it's the latter because I quite like Trivium and IMHO Dragonforce are scensoredt.

Trivium? Great band but what an unlikely support act for Maiden.

Supported them previously I think? Not a band I care for to be honest, so I'll probably head to the bar...

Indeed, a more than worthy support act.
Especially if auditorium travelling is in evidence.
