Most flights within Europe only offer Club Class (or equal) which in reality is very little different from steerage as evidenced by the moveable curtain they use to define their area only according to how many seats have been sold

I've always found club in short haul european flights to be a waste of time - you only seem to get nicer food and proper knives and forks. There might be a modicum of extra leg room but I've never really noticed it. It's not like you get fold flat seats or anything. I certainly wouldn't spend my own money on such a ticket.

Why not charter a citation or gulfstream etc.

The whole plane is yours and its all first class.

The closest european destination I have flown to in first class is Athens then to Chania, Crete. I am upset I actually flew first. On the way to Athens the seats were the same, overhead TV and film was the same, the food was the same. The ONLY difference was I could drink alot more.

During the stop over the lounge was good, but hardly worth the price of a first class ticket. You can buy access for £40!

The flight to Chania was worse, no drink as it was such a short flight, and they served a Salmon sandwich that was ROCK solid! And I dont even like Salmon frown

Since then I would never fly first within Europe. Spain in a non stop short flight, really no point in even looking. Get a cheap flight, spend the difference on a luxury car to rent, and a nice bag for the missus from Puerto Banus

You could always try Flylo. They have vertical flat beds as demonstrated by Baba Omar!!!

I always used to do Business/Club Europe to Malaga but like others have said, it just isn't worth the money for what you get.

10 grand will get you a 4 seater private jet, and youd be there in 2 hours, from somewhere nearer your house, and dont have to mix with the easyjet lot

That's a bargain? I fly over around 4/5 times a year, it's max a 2hour flight. I've get return flights for €100 on average in regular seats. Save your money for the beer when you get over there!

That's a lot less than the last time I did it. I would still go from Southampton though just because I can't be bothered to drive to Heathrow.

You don't really get first class on short haul flights. You can get business or club or whatever they call it, but it is a complete waste of money. All you get is slightly nicer food and that is it. All they do is put up a curtain to separate you and the paupers wink!

Anytime I fly out to Marbella I always fly a cheap airline because to be honest it just isn't worth the extra money for such a short flight.

I can find you one for just over 10k, depends on airfields of course, and what aircraft you want.

From memory it was a hawker 400xp. Never actualy looked at is seriosuly. It was a friend who had to get out there like "RIGHT NOW" and was looking at all the options and got a quote for £17k. Needless to say he didn't take it.

Just out of interest what plane would it be for £10K?

anything smaller! the 400xp is twin pilot and 8 pax, so thats where your extra cost is going.

something like a Citation Mustang, anything with single pilot cert really.
