How much was you thinking of spending (not that i have one for sale) and what sort are you looking for ie: backbox, full system?
Ebay brings up this :
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-M3-EXHAUST-E36-3-0-3-2-C...
and i cant recommend it highly enough. Just enough to make the M3 sing a little but without being intrusive.

Mine has the full Milltek sports system from Thorney Motorsport, complete with a receipt for over £2K
Fortunately it was the previous owner who did that, and I admit it's lovely to have but I would struggle to justify that cost myself. However, the ebay link above looks great. A full stainless sports catback for £325 delivered? I doubt you're going to find one much cheaper TBH. You could wait forever for a 2nd hand one as I doubt many would remove it for sale. Good luck though. ebay would probably be the most likely place.

Seriously though i'm very pleased with it. The tone & quality of the product is very good indeed.OP, the link i've posted is exactly the same as the one fitted to my car but i took a chance and waited, and waited, and waited...then finally a second hand one popped up on eBay. They can be got hold of used but be prepared to wait. Knowing what i do now with how pleased i am with it, in hindsight i should have just bought one brand new !
Next on the list is a set of front stoppers from an e31. Let the wait commence...

I have this on mine. A wonderful sound but I wouldn't say it's not intrusive. I do find it a bit boomy on a motorway run but that is now exaggerated by the removal of rear seats to facilitate the cage. But I did find it boomy before too but it was a noise I am still prepared to tolerate because the car sounds fantastic.Ebay brings up this :
