Some of you may have been unfortunate enough to read my rather alcohol fuelled ramblings/opinionated diatribe, in response to the "which red wine" post last week.........sorry about that drinkrolleyes

Anyway, if anyone is interested, this is the Cahors

Not a 1960's as I drunkenly remembered...........that was this one!

They had both been bought the year, or year after bottling & were stored in a purpose built cellar, which I'm lead to beleive, contains thousands of bottles of "very good wine". Although I don't know for how long & where they were stored before the cellar was built.
These 2 were a birthday present to a friend who shared them with me & another lucky soul.
I have no idea of their value, or indeed, if they have any....er...had !!

I will say that I thought they were exceptional.
If anyone knows about these wines I would be interested to know a little more.

If anyone in their 20's reading this fancies laying down wine, do some research & go for it. I wish I had been able to be that adventuruos 30 yrs ago, obviously, not all wine will benefit from being kept.
Perhaps someone will tell me that the Cahors & Pape Clement should have been drunk 20yrs ago!!

Hey ho.......starting to ramble...........must cook supper.

Cheers all

Chris
