Starter Motor question

I have a G64/21 transaxle and don't know what starter motor to get. Do all G based transaxles use the same starter motor?

ARE YOU PUTTING A STARTER IN THE GEARBOX OR THE ENGINE PLATE... MINE HAS BOTH OPTIONS AND THE STARTER WAS FITTED TO THE ENGINE?

I have a 64/21 on my ls2 and the starter motor mounts from the gearbox side. Speak to Kyle (Gulf LS3), I believe he can get a good price.

How about you giving a little summary of the work you have done so far so that the guys on here can give you help/advise to get you closer to finishing your car as I understand from Andy there's a few mechanical issues to overcome.
