Engine Bay Detailing / Protection

Afternoon.

I am after some advice on engine bay detailing / protection. I would like to clean my engine bay and then apply some kind of protection to keep it shinny and also protect items like the aluminum radiator corroding.

I have been looking at the Meguiars Engine Cleaner and Engine Dressing, Also the Autoglym Engine and machine cleaner combined with the Vinyl and Rubber care.

I have been recommended to use silcone spray to protect the engine bay?

Any recommendations?

I use WD-40 Its a good de-greaser and does no harm to electrics just keep it away from exhaust and belts.

Light spray then a wipe down with a rag does the job and keeps moisture at bay as well.

I just gave that a go on the bracket where the AC compressor would be if I had Aircon and it worked a treat. I never knew you could use WD40 like that. Cheers :thumbsup:

Unfortunately the engine bay is not clean enough for me to eat my dinner off yet.
