I have used a bunch of them, from the cheap eBay one to the high-end Nikon one.
Really just depends on what you need to do with it. If it is just for a simple release the wireless, no-name one is fine.

I bought a cheap ebay one for my Canon, it's a wired Yogayama (sp???) and cost about £3. It's been fine and for a saving of £47 was worth a punt.
