2007 Mondeo 1.8 Petrol - Chain Cam or Belt Cam

Hi

Hoping for a quick bit of advice.

I've just ben to look at a 2007 1.8 petrol Mondeo at a Ford dealer. The salesman said it was a belt cam engine with belt changes at 100,000 miles, although I wouldn't leave it that long after experience with my current Focus.

But Honest John's website (which I've used for years) reckons this is a chain cam engine.

Who is right?

It's a chain. Don't listen to the salesman. Salesmen are salesmen, because they weren't smart enough to get a real job.
