Hi
Thanks for all the help on my last post. Had a local mobile mechanic round to tune the car and have a look at the hot start problem. He fitted a new fuel pump as he had experience of the non return failing in the past. We fitted new leads and checked connections. All seemed well until I tested it today. Not sure if it should but the pump only gets voltage when the engine is cranked. Its reading 12VDCish when its running but when the problem occurs ie after its been switched off the reading goes down to 8VDC. Ive even taken an aux lead to feed the pump but it still wont start. The engine doesnt need to be that warm for the fault to occur either. Tried it at one point when the engine was hot and it started every time. Left it for 10 mins and it wouldnt start.
Any more ideas.
Thanks Mark

I wonder if you have distributor trigger coil or ignition amplifier trouble. scratchchin

Would have thought your mechanic would have sorted that though.
