Bargain Mondeo or a SHED chaps?

Bro is contemplating selling his old Toyota and buying a Mondeo any opinions on the X reg Mondeo below?

A decent motor, Mondeos don't show the miles so, as mentioned above, chances are it might well have been wound back. Despite the advert, check the rear wheel arches and bottoms of all the doors for rust. It looks like it has plenty of mot history, which is good. Especially if it has all the mileages. Make sure all the electric stuff works and the engine revs under load.

In addition to the bottom of the doors and wheel arches check the Jacking plates. My mondeo failed its MOT becasue of corrosion there.

Other than that its been superb, got it for free and apart from the £100 of welding the only things ive needed to replace have been the windscreen wipers and one healight bulb.
