I need help!!!

I am going away with friends and we are going to split the cooking, however 3 of them are vegan.
I'm a vege, but cannot even think about cutting cheese out of my diet lick
Has anyone got any quick and simple vegan recipes?

I have had a look on google as well, which has got some edible looking stuff.
Just wondered if there were any vegans on here, bit it of a long shot, but worth a go wink

Buy a large pack of bacon, a block of butter and a 12 pack of white rolls. You will all see the light after that and start cooking some real food. hehe

veganism should be against the Genva convetion, but ma-po tofu (veggie version) should be vegan too.

look at chinese and japanese recipes: all soy, no dairy.

Best friend/former housemate is vegan. Without using fake dairy stuff (yuk!):

Bangers and mash (bit of oil or marge in mash instead of milk)
Burgers in buns with fried onion and tomato
Pasta and tomatoey sauce
Almost infinite variety of curries and stir-fry
Soup (use coconut milk), stews etc.
Tofu and/or veg in satay sauce
Couscous with roasted veg

Howzat for a start?

Thanks, very helpful, couscous and roasted veg should be pretty simple.
I alos hate the fake stuff, especially the "cheese".

I shall give some of your suggestions a shot smile

One of my favourites that would work is a spiced vegetable curry. I flash fry each vegetable separately and spice them individually.

Mushrooms with cumin, peppers with flaked chili, cauliflower with tumeric etc That way each vegetable retains it's own unique flavour. I then make a mild curry sauce with coconut milk and combine everything at the last minute before serving. Use half a dozen different veg and it makes a really nice dish.

Always works, easy to do in advance and very popular.

Shirley you would just substitute dairy milk and butter for their vegan equivalents and continue from there?

I can't imagine how unhealthy your diet must be if you're reliant on cheese.

However, be that as it may, Indian food is your friend. Have a look here.
