So over the last 2-3 weeks...

a) I've shaved 800 calories of my normal daily diet (basically cutting out crips, sweets and chocolates)

b) Started doing 2 * 1 hr cardio sessions each week (cross trainer at about 80%-85% of Maximum Heart Rate)

Despite the calorie reduction being combined with exercice, I don't appear to have reduced crucial body dimensions at all (stomach, chest, thigh).

Any thoughts on where I'm going wrong? Is it too early too see a difference?

Thanks in advance.

yes But dieting is for idiots (unless your plan is to put it all back on and a bit more in 6 months' time wink ).

Height, age, weight?

What else are you eating during the day? It's all good reducing them by 800 a day, not so good if you're still consuming 5,000!

2 Hours of cardio a week isn't really going to do much.

Diet is king.
I would have thought the incremental shift (calorie reduction + exercise) would have resulted in some reduction?

I'll come back with the other info in a bit.

you'll need to give at least 2-3 months.

Thanks for the responses.

Looks like I have to make a more fundamental shift in my eating patterns - quite a lot of effort required to shift weight I guess!
