Does anyone take them and if so what have you found to be good?
Back in the day I used to take a couple of table spoons of some noxious dark brown Amino liquid and it certainly helped but it's so long ago I've forgotten what it's called.
I'm looking for recommendations as to what brands seem to be good. What I also liked, aside from the fat burning is that particular brand just made me feel 'good'.

Amino acids wont 'burn fat' in any way shape or form

Tyrosine (one of the amino acids) is supposed to elevate your metabolic rate a little. But so does caffeine, and caffeine is more approachable.
The only way to burn fat is to exercise it off (using something like interval training and / or weight training) and to reduce your calorie intake to force your body to burn it from within. Weight training will increase your metabolic rate while doing nothing, because muscle requires energy at all times. You just have to build some up!

I cycle 100 miles a week, I go the gym and I also swim I just want to know what brands are good these days. Unfortunately the ones I used to use are long gone.

What are you trying to achieve through use of supplements? Recovery? Fat burning? Building?
A combination of all three really. Back in the days when I was into heavy weights I tried all manner of supplements and I found Amino Acid complex and kelp to be the two most beneficial.Gassing Station | Health Matters | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
