Anyone know anything about RaceFace?

I recently and stupidly bought a RaceFace Evolve DH Chainset, the stupid bit wasn't buying that particular product, because it's great, but the fact i ambitiously bought the single cogged 44t variety, which for riding up hills with 7 gears on the back is usless. This is what i have,

But, my question is if i got something like this, do you think i could make it into a double?

Or shall i just get a 36t or 38t chain ring which would see me through?

The crankset itself is great quality and was a good price so i don't want to change completely.

Does the crank have tabs on the inside for another chainring? basically, they look like threaded posts.

If so, then yes you can add another. If not, no. Get yourself a 32t ring
