I went, I saw, I bought

After over a year of looking I finally found one. Not the V6 Tuscan I was after but a beautiful '71 Vixen 2500. I've had it for a couple of months but never found the time to post. I drove it down from Scotland to home (Cheshire) before Christmas and it didn't miss a beat (same couldn't be said about the Tamora I once owned). 370 miles of driving pleasure.

Hey Phil, that's a lovely looking car. I hope you'll be very happy together. I think she was excellent value at the asking price (£9,900) if I remember correctly. Reckon you shouldn't see any future depreciation which will probably be a refreshing change also compared to a Tamora.

Nice one Phil, i have also been looking for a while and not sure i remember this one, where was it advertised? That said i am still after one a bit cheaper (if the last thread asking price is right) that requires work or finishing and this looks really nice and ready to go so good luck.
Thanks for all the very positive comments.
The car was advertised very briefly on the TVR car club website and I think in one issue of Sprint. I had a long conversation with Bernie before I decided to fly up to Scotland to look over the vixen. I'm hoping (when the weather improves) to bring the car along to the local TVR car club meet to requiant her with former friends. I should say Stuart who last owned the car was a real gent and really took care of her. The car is in very good condition but it is an older restoration so needs a little TLC here and there, but nothing major.
