Difficult to park round there - don't know when the phot was taken with no parked cars! Residential permit holders only.
But as ^^^^ said, it's a decent part of town and not too studenty.

Permits can be up to £160 for 12 months.Anyway, fewer students compared to similar flats across in Marchmont. Plenty of green space in the Meadows and Bruntsfield Links (including pitch and putt). The immediate area is a bit quiet but with nicer shops just up the round at Bruntsfield and supermarkets not far.
If schools matter, the flat isn't actually in the catchment of the nearest Primary/Secondary (James Gillespies) but rather within the area for Bruntsfield and Boroughmuir further up the road. All fairly good, popular schools though. The nearest Catholic primary is at the other end of Morningside (very busy at rush hour) but the secondary is just off the Meadows. Independently, you're about halfway between Watsons and Heriots in particular.
I used to live 1 street along from that flat. Great area, lots of bars/places to eat, close to town, meadows 1 minute away if you're into running etc. Parking was always fine, occasionally you had to park a street away and walk round. The only down side I had living there was my Impreza was broken into twice.
I used to live 5 mins walk away from there, and a good friend lives in Gillespie Cres (3 doors down from that one methinks)
Certainly a nice area to live although there are a few more student flats than you might imagine in Gillespie Cres. My mate thinks the £340k fixed price is fairly realistic (although I guess he would say that)

Great street! and if i remember correctly a dead end so no through traffic, so nice and peaceful, but 5 mins to all the pubs and restaurants,
parking can be a pain if your trying to get a space at 5:30
but surprisingly there are a few lock ups or underground parking spaces come up around there, the nearest being the next street to the kings theatre, 2mins walk, usually they come up on gumtree
