People-wise, a lot of the Sags are 'known' to this forum.

when i was looking at buying my long awaited dream car, the sagaris..
for me the 1st important thing was colour, i managed to get a chameleon of the colour i wanted so a good second.
next must was low mileage because i wanted to try keep this sensible in years to come and knew id put a few thousand on in the 1st year.
trying to get the right colour can take a long time, although there are a ray of colour options in the classifieds at present wont always be like that.
these 2 things and reading past forum posts interior is important to some [colour etc]
but 1 mans idea of a dream sagaris and a investment will be different from others. after all they were all styled by the orginal buyer.
i was very scared that mine was a privated buy but so far so so good.

full history- service and receipts- a sag should really have some costly receipts .i managed to read post on my car from years ago,i knew she had been loved.
i personnal wouldnt touch a sag that past damage.[but are you ever really going to know if its hidden by private/dealer.
last wee thing try and take ur time when picking. ul prob love the 1st one you see, they are awesome in the flesh and when you hear it ul no doubt cream your pants like i did.

I was looking for as new as I could get and was lucky as I got a TVR recievers car so no problem there but still to me the number one was the interior colour - even more important than the outside which in my eyes would be easier to sort.

Buy with your head - not your heart - all Sags vary greatly in spec and condition. Have a look as many as you can to get a benchmark before you part with your hard-earned. I really do think it is a numbers game - look at as many as possible. When you come across the right car, you'll know its the one.

Got to agree here, having costly receipts over and above the normal servicing charges is not going to make me want the car...That seems a silly thing to say why shold it ???????????..
I'd expect a few sensors replaced, new clutch, engine mount replaced but that's about it!! (which is exactly what mine has had

Paint (some colours were a very expensive option)
Painted seatbacks
Close ratio gearbox
Armourfend
Full or just 1/2 leather interior
Dab Radio & Aerial
Option of in car audio
