Anyone here know if the plastic chassis coating can be sandblasted/beadblasted off the chassis once the body and mechanicals have been removed?
I want to strip back to bare metal and have the chassis powder coated but don't want the hassle of wire brushes and scrapers.
(Zinc plating would be ideal but the high temperature process could distort the chassis).

I know people that have shot blasted them, then you can add the coating you desire

You can have it hot zinc sprayed, I had my 'M' chassis done at a company near cambridge who only charged me £100 for it. The finish was excellent.

So far the Zinc spray coating sounds good with a powder coating sprayed on top in the origional chassis colour (red).
Anyone here have some ideas of who, where, costs and quality, etc....?

Over to you guy's

Jas.
