Redex Injector Cleaners

Anyone used Redex Injector cleaners? Does it clean the injectors and is it okay for the Rover V8 engine?

Snake oil IMO as I've never been sure the stuff has actually done anything. Whip em out and get em cleaned and calibrated

Wouldn't do me any good. How can you tell if it's done anything btw?

Was recommended by a number of garages to use PROTEC costs £5.58 a can, available from Partco. I put a can of it in the petrol tank and it made a world of difference, claims to clean the injectors and petrol lines which it must have done - previously I had some lumpy running and thats gone now (S2 - V6)

Apache .. well every injected TVR then

It does help to keep in injectors clean also seems to
unclog blockages.

If you run low on fuel (or run out) you can use a larger does and it sorts it out without needing to rebuild / replace fuel pumps etc ..

The Redline stuff is supposed to be ok from what I´ve heard. Ultrasonic cleaning is about 15 quid per injector.

I heard from various sources that STP or Slick 50 is the best.

Ahhhhhh Redex, that brings back memories to me. Squirted a egg cup full into the carbs of my old Vauxhall cresta and then whent for a drive up the steep hill we lived on. When I looked in my rear view mirror all I could see was a very very dense fog and a headlight of a car up my chuff. God knows if it did the engine any good but twas a That will be a long time ago now, wish I still had the Cresta!
