Thought i would share this with you, if like me you like tasty food but cant spare the time slaving over a hot stove then try this company www.cookfood.net have been a customer for several years and rate the food very very highly, it contains only the ingrediants that you would have in the larder, none of the nasty preservatives etc that are lurking in other frozen meals.
I recently had 16 friends round for supper and it was a roaring success using this company, can highly recommend them and food always arrives totally frozen in wonderful boxes insulated with sheeps wool!!

ok, sounds good if you are a spaz in the kitchen and are very time poor.

That post does read a bit like a gushing advert though.

Indeed, the OP would sell Whiskas!

But at those prices I'll stay with Morrisons.

they are quite pricey but if the quality is there.

Now there is just me, I can't be arsed to cook just for myself, so normally end up with a ready made pizza from Tesco's / Sainsbury's

Will be worth a try I guess

Luke.

Think the Jalfrezi and Vindaloo look cheap at £3.85. No more than Waitrose or M&S.

16 mates round and give them a ready meal!

If I wasn't already, I'd have to sit down - didn't you feel embarassed?

not at all, the food is superb and saves a lot of hassle and time, compliments were on the go all evening from -dont blame you for doing it this way, give me the address i want to order some, etc etc.

how many times do we all eat out and the food on your plate comes from a boil in the bag- a very high percentage i can tell you. You dont really think mr indian takeaway/restaurant man stands at his cooker all day cooking ? if you do then your sooo wrong.

More to the point, you won't be in the kitchen sweating away leaving your guests to entertain themselves.

I've never had a frozen ready meal that was any better then just ok. I usually then see the price and re-assess my opinion to a right-rip-off too.

What about if it was cooked by a proper chef and frozen? These don't look like a Birds Eye roast

In which case is it so different from many people on here who cook big batches of chilli, curry, stew etc and freeze them in idividual portions.

Glad it's not just me then!

I hear you can you sometimes find cooks/caterers who will come in with their own ingredients and use your kitchen to cook them - which seems the perfect solution to me!

They've recently opened a shop close to my work, might be worth checking out when I'm in a lazy mood

I've tried quite a few - high end stuff too.

I'm sorry if I've come across a bit harshly, I just don't like them - if others do then that's good.

Whenever I have had any ready meal frozen or "fresh" I have always thought it inferior to a simple freshly cooked food where the texture is what it should be. I cook and freeze stuff too sometimes, it's ok for a quick easy meal but never as good as when it was first cooked.

I agree, maybe its the way I reheat them but they are never as good as the original version.
