Hi Guys

I really fancy an escort would love the cossie but can't aford it.

I've had to sell my VX220 turbo so want something thats going to be fun but not as expensive.

What engines can be put into the RS2000 4x4? how much power can the 4 wheel drive system take?

Any help or advice would be great because as long as i can get over 200 bhp in one, i'll buy one next week.

The RS2000 4x4 was a bit of an oddball really. There isn't much room under that bonnet to shoe-horn much more in. Better to get an XR4x4 and put some decent muscle under the hood.

Transfer boxes are no longer available, so any work will cost a lot.

Totally agree - got an XR4x4 myself and I'm planning a Cosworth 24v V6 conversion. Should end up with approx 215 bhp or 238 if I start messing around with cams...

if your looking for something with power ever thought about a v6 mondeo, 168bhp as standard with tuning possibilities or a st200 obvious 200bhp full leather, bodykit etc etc.
