Clutch problem
Discussion
I was wondering if someone could pass on their thoughts.
I have my ideas as to what has gone wrong, but it would be good to hear someone elses opinion.
I have a clutch plate that has lost all of the pad on one side of the centre plate. So much so it is down to the rivets. The plate has literally done 300 miles (100 of which were on track)
What are your thoughts?

Sounds like you've been slipping the life out of it ?
Heat doesnt come from anywhere else other than slipping.
Whether deliberate, or not deliberate, slipping is the problem.
Is the clutch deemed to be up to the job in hand ? ie what sort or rating versus your actual torque does it have ? And vehicle weight ?
