Hey guys, Ive been advertising my E46 on here for a while now (over a month) Ive not had a single call. This is the basic info in my ad:

"BMW 325i Sport:

Black,
Black Leather interior,
Sports Seats,
Black dashboard trim,
Saloon,
02 Plate,
Harmon Kardon Sound system,
6 Disc CD Changer with steering wheel controls,
Air Con,
Climate Control,
Alloy Wheels,
Cruise Control,
Folding Rear Seats,
Front and side airbags,
Traction control,
All electric windows,
Reverse Parking sensors,
Facelift,
Flappy paddle SSG gearbox,
Full BMW Service History,
TAX & MOT,
4 keys

Redundancy forces sale."

Is there anything that stands out as bad? besides gearbox... or anything I need to put in? I have two pictures of the outside and a picture of the interior.

Thanks for the help

Milage is omitted too.

Nice plug BTW.

1. That gearbox will definately put people off.
2. How much have you priced it at - in line with similar cars ?

It would be better if you put a link to the add.

Unfortunately I cant for advertising reasons... the only things you cannot see here are the pictures, theyre clear, no visible marks or blemishes. By all means the cars not perfect but to what the camera can see there is no marks

I'd add more pictures. Park it in the road and post pictures from all angles and at least two of the interior. IIRC PH allows 9 pictures? Use them all!

Not sure on what fair pricing is for these so can't comment on that.

Anything, cars included, should sell if they are described accurately, and priced correctly. Personally, I'd not use the expression "flappy paddle", it has negative connotations, and presumably can be driven manually using the sequential gear lever? It is actually the SMG gearbox period. (Is it SMG I or II? I had an E46 with SMG II gearbox and I loved it). List the service history, and as others have said show as many pictures as you can. Good luck

You seem to list just the specification. On an older car the condition, history, etc etc is far more important yet you dont appear to mention it.

You get 3 pictures with a free add and 9 with a premium one.

Thanks. I'm not sure, I thought it was a ssg. anyone able to tell me the difference? I'll add the history when I get a chance I'm just at work at the minute. When you say list the history shall I put details of the stamps? Thanks again

It's not actually SMG, which only the M3 came with.
SSG came on the 330 & 325s. There is a big difference between them.

It's only been a month but if a car is priced right then you should still get some interest. For what it's worth I paid £4300 in April last year for my previous car which was a 2003 "53" 325i M-Sport Touring. Spec was similar to yours but with cloth and manual gearbox and the mileage was the same at 124k. I traded it last October for £2500 with 135k on the clock. Not sure what the garage would sell it on at but if it didn't get punted on through the trade I doubt they'd get much more than £3k after haggling.

A lot of people don't see the standard free adds as they are listed at the back after all the premium ones.

The price is too high with that mileage, I sold an absolutely mint E46 330i touring auto with 100k and full main dealer history 2 years ago for just over £3,000.

I was expecting over £4,000 for it but that all I got.

Times are hard

It must have:

a) Had no options
b) Been a write off at some point
c) Been a very very early 330i
d) Needed work doing

Either that or you priced it too low. A mint 330i with 100k and FBMWSH would certainly fetch more than £3000 TODAY, and you say you sold this car 2 years ago?! Someone got one hell of a bargain.

EDIT: Was it an SE or Sport?

Thanks for the input guys. I bought it for 5500 14 months ago so I didn't want to loose too much seeing as though I've barely put 6000 on the clock. I think I would probably keep it if its not going to fetch 4000 and just run a little micra or something until money gets better.

It was a 2001 SE in the right colour with style 68M wheels, black leather, sports supension, rare integrated child seats and folding mirrors, I bought it as an AUC when it was a year old and as you can see from the photo below taken on the day I sold it, it was mint. (the car was completely original it had never had any paint)

The market was on its backside 2 years ago, I just couldn't get rid of it, you are right someone got an absolute bargain.
