Electric Window problem on 99 V8
Discussion
When I've had a few minor problems, this forum has always been a great help.
The driver side window on my 99 V8 goes down without any problem. When it comes time to raise it, I find it necessary to press the switch a number of times before it goes up. This just started happening.
Is this a common problem? What do I need to do?
Thanks for any help.

Hi Dirk,
Mine did the same thing on the passenger door. There are two relays (one up and one down) in the door. It is probably that the up relay is sticking. I replaced both while I was at it (not very expensive - $20 each) and that took care of the problem.
You have to remove the door panel and then also remove a small access panel slightly below the interior door handle. Both relays are mounted on the inside of that small access panel.
To see how to remove the door panel go to this URL:
www.lotusespritworld.co.uk/EMaintenance/doorremovenew.html
The Lotus part number for the door relays is A100M6104F (Water Proof Relay). Remember to also lubricate the window tracks with some silicon spray.
Hope this helps.

Manny

This link has some pictures I took when I removed my '99's door panels to correct a rattle. They may help as well.
