Cerbera racing update 2011

Firstly thanks for everyone’s support in 2010. It was a very challenging year but it had a great ending! Was brilliant seeing you all at the various races especially spa!

We have now entered the full championship season for the 2011 GT Cup with obviously one aim…… to win!

Up until a few days ago we were unsure if a full season was going to be possible due to the huge financial commitment. However we have thrown caution to the wind and gone for it hoping to pick some sponsorship up along the way.

The car will stay largely unchanged, still using a manual gearbox and an AJP V8. We have made some suspension changes in the hope of achieving some more tyre longevity whilst not sacrificing overall grip. There is a new trick diff going in which I’m particularly excited about, should really help with getting the power down.

The championship itself is very similar to last year. We will be in the top class again with the Ferrari f430’s, Porsche 997’s and I believe the corvette is back out with us this year. With 9 rounds and 2 races at each its going to be a busy year including the annual race at Spa. All the rounds will have there own dedicated TV program on Motors TV.

To create some interest and to keep everyone informed we can now be followed both on Facebook and Twitter. Progress updates will be posted regularly and at each race meeting we will be letting everyone know how the weekend is going including results, lap times, pictures etc.

If anyone knows of any individuals of company’s who could be interested in getting involved point them in our direction! The GT Cup has some brilliant hospitality facilities that we can use to entertain.

As always it would be great to see as many of you at the race meetings as possible. Make sure you come and say hi! I will post up the dates over the next couple of days.

As you know I wont be able to make Spa this year but will defo try and get to Brands (for 1 if not both dates)

Happy to chuck a little bit of cash in the pot (might even give you a rise if you are a good boy) to keep the Massey logo on the car, especially if it's bigger, and in a more prominent position than TC's

I had a quick look at your engine at APM today Mike, and as an engine expert myself I can tell you that it looked extremely shiny Seriously though sounds like a fantastic spec, best of luck for the season. PS thanks for the 99 shirt
