Hey,

I have a 51 plate Ford Focus and I need to replace the central locking fuse (63?) - which I understand is a common problem. However, I'm not sure how to get the glovebox out of the way in order to reach the fusebox. One option is brute force but I'd rather not bust the glovebox for want of removing it/clearing it the proper way.

Anyone able to help?

Thanks,
Phil

Push each side of the (open) glovebox in slightly to clear the rubber stops you'll see inside near the back / top corners.

You can then lower the 'box on it's hinges down out of the way to access the fusebox.

Open the glove box, squeeze the sides in and it should go right down out of the way. Fuse 63 is on the back of the fuse box, undo the two nuts holding it on and you can just about twist it round, a right pain in the arris.

Thanks gents. That's what I thought it might be but it's great to have it confirmed!

Cheers.
