Do you tip removal men?

Certainly did when I last moved. They got £20 each (5 of them) but they worked bloody hard and were excellent. They were very greatful and I didn't have a single breakage or damage on the move.
Same here - £20 each, though there were only 2 of them. They did a great job and worked extremely hard all day.We moved house in December. We paid a fortune to the removal company, like double the cheapest quote we had had but when exchange finally happened, they were the only ones left with a van on the day of completion. I think I know why now!
They started packing the lorry on the Thursday which was fine and came back to finish loading on the Friday. Lunch time on Friday they realise the van is not big enough (even though everything is wedged in REALLY tight) So they take the full van back to their yard and return with an empty one and finish off loading the remainder.
Drive 3 miles to new house unload this reserve van, dump just about everything in the wrong room, running down the ramps from the van with the boxes bouncing all over the shop. Lots of bits damaged (only discovered in the weeks since the move)Get second van, unload it, ram leather sofa into ceiling of hallway, more damage.
Anyway, they didn't get a tip, but they were fed & watered tea & biscuits frequently.
Best see how they perform on the day I reckon before decing whether a tip has been earned. Even then you might discover alot of damaged items in the weeks after the move!

Depends, I had a sofa delivered which was a b
d to get in, even with three of us pulling and tugging, so yes they got a tenner each, even though it was just one item.
I had a tall, double-door fridge delivered, went straight in, gave them a couple of beers each.
So, it's up to you, I'd always tip relative to how good/bad you thought they were.

Had my garden landscaped a couple of years ago, trees uprooted, fence put up, and grass laidn. Every night they totally cleaned up, even apologised for a little bit of mess in the garage.
Overall cost tad over 4 grand, gave both of them £20 for a beer, well deserved I thought.
But when the Bib stops you and politely tells you were a tad over the speed limit, just say "Thank you", no need to tip them ......

The last thing I had delivered was a fridge-freezer. The door was hinged on the wrong side so I asked them if it was easy to swap the hinges over. 'Oh yes mate' they replied and scuttled off.
An hour later, with the fridge propped up at 45 degrees and me underneath swearing and tapping blind holes for the 'easy to swap' hinges I understood why they'd cleared off before I could suggest they do it...
Luck I had a tap/die set or I'd have been stuffed.
