Driving home yesterday on M40 between j5 and j4 High Wycombe when I noticed a car approaching rapidly from behind with alternately flashing headlamps. As it passed, I was surprised to see it was a dirty silver Focus Estate, reg PJ02 ??? No blue lights visible, but he had the siren going too. Seemed a bit old and grubby for plod.

I had the same experience a month ago on the M40

08 Range Rover, no markings, however as I passed two small blue flashing lights appeared
through his grill.
He did not stop me, but continued to proceed at 100 mph.

Just alternating flashing headlights and a siren. Thought it might be an old mate of mine caled Nigel - but was mistaken

I saw one of these last year on the m25 at about 2am, light flashing going about 50 in the slow lane. Thought it was a bit strange but I was heading from redhill way back towards camberley so he could have been heading towards Windsor.

Blues, I have seen this Focus too, the last time it had two guys in army uniforms in it, I though possible training run, as they didnt follow me when I realised it wasnt plod.

In recent months I have had a 330i Coupe pass me, same scenario Alt head lights flashing, rear lights flashing too (white) no defined Blue lights, single occupant, and not fused about other motorists just making progress.

Dizee, could this be Silver Badge drivers and cars from the Whitehall lot?

Makes you wonder if you could do this to your car????? and who would...

There is quite a few out there that we don't know about!! However if it don't look right then I stop it!! One I've stop wasn't right, had fixed his own blue lights to his car and pretended to be an ambulance car!!! Sothe dodgy ones are out there!!
