I know this has probably been asked before, but the search function didn't reveal the answer I was looking for, so here goes.
Anyone got Racing Reds fitted to their Tuscan? If so what are your impressions both initially and over the long term?
I'm fully aware that Nitrons with Eibach springs are the dogs, but my independent financial advisor won't let me spend that much, something to do with a kitchen?
Oh looking to fit on a Tuscan II S, if it makes a difference.
Cheers

I also have a Tuscan II S.
I was advised by the TVR Centre/Bespoke Performance guys that Racing Reds were, in their opinion, just as good as Gaz Golds etc, but cheaper. I'm looking to fit them in a few months time.
Let me know what you go for in the end as I would be interested to know.

Ok I'm back at the negotiating table. If I get the nod for Nitrons, currently doing a deal; may have to stick with the boilogical dish washer a little longer, but hey I can cope with having soft hands
What sort of price am I looking for fitting? or are they easy to set up roughly and get the geo done professionally later?
I'm more than mechanically adept to swap them out just concerned about ride height, damping rates etc.

I've had Racing Reds on my 2000 Mk1 Tuscan 4.0 for 18 months now and there was a definite improvement right from the start. The car feels like it sits better on the road, felt more planted and is generally more stable. I've softened them a little from the initial set up to cope with the ever worsening country lanes and pot holed roads that I tend to find myself on at the weekends, but you can easily stiffen them up for the odd track day or faster smoother road trips.
Other noticeable improvements to handling/stability are front tires 225 40 18 Toyo T1R tires (from 225 35 18 Bridgestones) and 3mm front wheel spacers.
It’s not perfect but it's 100 times better than when I first bought the car.
I think mine are on 20 clicks from the soft setting all round at the moment started out at 20 front and 25 rear. (I understand that there are 30 clicks of adjustment).

I have had Racing Reds on mine for over 2 years now and havent had any issues with them leaking or other wise. The car had 2 leaking shocks on it before the change and was crashing quite bad over bumps so compaired to that they are fantastic, cant comment if they are as good or better than the Gaz golds etc as I have never driven a car with them.
Finally had the Nitrons fitted yesterday by the guys at Str8six, only done 60(ish) miles so far but was completely blown away by how good they are. I know the originals were shot, but the improvement is vast, it corners like it is on rails and absorbs the bumps without me fighting the wheel constantly, and yes the geo was good before. Conclusion - I have suspension
Apologies I've no idea what the settings are just went with what Jason and his team dialled in. Here is a couple of pics as I was in the rear arches today fitting new exhaust straps.

and receiving a cost for fit/geo; I'm going down the Nitrons with Eibach route. Here's to dish-washing soft hands for the forseeable future
