Cerbera Carpet Replacement - Centre Console Remove?

Hi,
The plan is to replace the carpets in my cerbera..over the next few weeks
I know the seats have to come out....but can I get away with leaving the centre console in situ?
Looks like a pia to take it out from what I can find...
Thoughts?
Plus my helmet stuffer thing requires some looking at got a big old sub in there at the mo..not sure how these come out either..

......thoughts anyone?If you have a look though my body removal guide it shows how to get the consol up.
It’s worth looking through that link so you can see it in bits but I changed all the carpet in the driver’s foot well with out removing much at all. I should think (with out actually looking at the car) you’d be able to remove the rear carpet by just lifting the rear of the centre consol, it just lifts up when you remove the helmet holder. May well be one self tapper in the side of the console you’ll need to remove too but that should be enough.

Might be a bit tricky doing the area where the imobilser is...underneath the radio..all good fun though

No Mark, this stuff has been poorly fitted over the original purple trim, really poorly done..was hanging down everytime you got in the car!.The roof lining was purple carpet - my wife has managed to get most of the glue off it
..just got to do the raer roof section, which will be easier now the seats and stuff are out..Not sure what the door cards were...I took the yellow stuff off on Saturday, will be replacing this with either purple leather (quilted) stiched with yellow thread or yellow leather again quilted with purple thread.
Got half a hide in the same purple ...just depends how far that goes.. might get the arm rest done...still might take the centre console out...

I think the quilted yellow leather might look a bit much maybe on the doors but might be ok the arm rests?? I personally like the quilted purple leather idea and may get it done when I get bored of my yellow alcantara. Regards the headlining... Purple might make the inside quite dark/claustrophobic, but yellow over that large expanse might be too much?? The roof lining was purple carpet - my wife has managed to get most of the glue off it

The passenger side padding is held in place with rivets! Think I will struggle to get this off without taking the whole unit out...

I guess it's like all of these things personal to your taste...I am a little concerned about making it too dark inside too...hence the thoughts regarding the yellow leather door cards...poss arm rest too..some of this is dependant on what I can find to get it done..and how far the half hide of purple leather goes.markh1 said:
I used D&C trimming for my leather and alcantara work. They are the original TVR trimmers based in the old factory. They are a lot better value than trimmers I got quotes from down south.
Heard good things about D&C too, the thing is I dont thing the half hide I have will be enough to do the speaker pods (they have been built out so will require more) - the arm rest(S) the rear helmet stuffer door cards and a repair to one of the rear seat squabs...so will probably go for yellow hide...been on to Martrim this morning they are sending me some samples.. want to get the carpets done first...most of them have got the edges bound, so will heving that done in yellow...the new wilton carpet is very dark purple..virging on nalmost navy.I intend to try and get the right shade of yellow vinyl by the weekend, I will cut out carpet shapes tonight with a view of getting them trimmed and fitted the following week.....I think thats being hopeful but will have a go!
