Best Building/DIY Book
Discussion
Can anyone recommend any good DIY/renovation books?
I've reasonably handy with most decorating jobs, having done bits of plumbing, electrical, decorating and minor building works before.
I am however looking at some much more large scale renovation projects in the next few months and would be quite interested in a book, or series of books which for instance explain how a house should be wired, how a heating system should be laid out, how to plaster.
I don't want anything that explains how to hang a picture or put up a shelf, or indeed go into building regs to the nth degree but an easy to follow middle ground.

I have the Collins Complete DIY Manual which I seem to remember picking up from the WHSmith bargin desk.
Its a good book and I have used it a number of times but as the previous poster mentions Youtube is also good for getting a rough idea of what you should be doing.
