Problem with reversing light
Discussion
The reversing light is not working but i have checked the bulb and wires and all is ok at the rear lighting unit.
I am wondering if the problem is somewhere else, what sends the signal to tell the car it is reversing?
I have been messing about in the tunnel, is there anything in there with regards to sensor that sends a reversing signal?, i.e. something i could have pulled a wire out of by mistake?

Cheesr for the info, i will look at the reversing switch, it may not have been working for a long time, i have only noticed it due to reconditioning the tail blazers recently and checking everything works before sealing the cover back over, so it could well be the switch.
Did you say the reversing light wire is black and white, because iw as not getting any power to this wire, which again would suggest the switch is faulty?

If you can get a copy of the US build manual, the reverse light circuit is fully diagrammed in the electrical schematic chapter.
First, do your dash instruments work? If not, check fuse number 9. If they work, with the ignition on, use your meter to check both wires on the reverse light switch for power. Should be power on one wire, and none on the other. If there's nothing on either and your dash works, then it's probably the wiring between the front fusebox and the reverse light switch. If you have power, jump the two wires together and see if the reverse lights turn on. If they do, check the reverse light switch with an ohmmeter to see if it works. If the switch is OK, then the problem is the connection to the switch. If the reverse lights don't turn on when you jump the two reverse light wires together, you have a wiring problem either in the rear harness, clam wiring, or the bulbs are blown. Just use a meter or test light to narrow it down...
