My mum wants to sell her Alfa 166.

166 Lusso, 55 plate facelift model, top spec, 3.2v6, Graphite grey with multispoke wheels, cream leather, cd changer, Fsh, belts done, 39k miles

Not got any decent pics of it but if anyone has an idea what these go for?

Thanks

Really hard car to value. The trade will give you 3' 6d for it but to an Alfa enthusiast it's a very desirable car indeed. Which gearbox does it have?

Might be worth a try at £9000'ish but don't expect to be trampled in the rush.

Has it had the belts done?

These are great cars and being a rare facelift is a bonus imho...but sadly undervalued by just about everyone! frown

Good luck with the sale, someone will get a lot of car cool

It CAPs at a ridiculous £2175!! I would expect to give between and £5k and £6k for it in the trade with a view to retailing it for between £7k and £8k. The cars at Veloces of London have been there a while, they need to be a Ti to sell quickly. Having said that real Alfisti realise that these are a nicer car in many ways than the 159 3.2 so represent good value for money.

I think you are looking at 6-7K as a starting price, maybe even more as it has fairly low mileage. The 3.2 V6 is the holy grail for 166 enthusiasts and you might want to try

http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-164-and-166/

There are a couple of people there looking out for the 3.2, and posting on there may get you a few more indicators of price.

What sort of condition are the bodywork and the interior in?

Has it ever been bent or painted?

How long has she owned it?

Whereabouts is the car?

I really fancy one of these big bruisers to replace my 2.5 V6 156, but it is probably about 12 months too soon for me.

I must not go to look at this car. I must not go to look at this car. I must not go to look at this car.....

It,s so sad that the facelifted Alfa 166 has been ignored, It must be the most stylish, under rated car of modern times, so much nicer than equivalent Audi,s, BMw,s and Mercedes, Lexus etc. A crime.

I hired a 2.4 JTD 20V in Italy a couple of years ago, superb car, such a shame it was never imported to the UK, much nicer drive than 159 2.4 - felt quicker and much better on fuel.
