As per title, does anyone know what the diameter and mounting depth for the speakers is (my car is being worked on at Bespoke at cant measure them)?

I want to order some new ones to fit as soon as it comes back. Any help will be very appreciated.

Don't know, but I've just fitted some 6"x9" ones in speaker boxes behind the seats. I took out the Sony Xplode CD autochanger and the standard Sony Head Unit and put in a head unit that plays new-fangled SD cardsmijigs or USB Stickmabobs. It sounds much better, now all I need a baseball cap, worn backwards ( oh, and some of those ace blue light things on my windscreen wipers ( whatever the fk they are for ! ) ).

Did you get a remote control with it?

Yep, it came with a remote, the same size as the Sony one.

Flip the front down and it takes a CD or an SD card. With the front up it takes an iPod source or a USB stick. And it has Bluetooth so you can stream music from your mobile if you are so inclined.

When I got it home and opened the box, I thought "Oh no, it has a different connector block on the back to the Sony one". But, delving on the box further I found a handy converter connector. So it was just a straight swap, only took a few minutes. It took a bit longer to wire in the new rear speakers.

Thanks - if you can tell me what make / model I could check to see what depth they need as a reference.

Dont think you will have any problem with speaker depth in the doors as the windows dont go down that far

speaker needs to be a set size due to the recess that they sit in... if you are brave you can cut this out but you will need to sound deaden the inside of the door IMHO.

I stuck components in mine and cut the door to fit a tweeter, speaks are the weakness in the cars stereo and fitting decent ones makes a massive difference.

I fitted some JL Audio C5-650x Coaxial High End Speakers (6.5 inch) and they were a direct replacement for the Sony ones but they made such a fundamental difference to the sound (I also replaced the head unit with Alpine and ran new wiring).
