These adverts with music...

Why do we have them?

They're the only bad thing about PH.

I need the sound switched on for various reasons, and having a buzzing noise (The DeMontford university ad) or a dialling phone (iPhone ad)is quite the distraction.

Does PH have a volume button?

You could report them (AFAIK they're not supposed to have sound). Or do as the rest of us do, use Firefox with Adblock Plus.

Didn't know they weren't allowed Pete, so will post them in future. Although i don't get ads on PH anymore thanks to the Ad Blocker suggested

Which was then followed by a 1min 19 second video about some Klingon Opera from "Diagonal View"



It's bizarre. Here's the URL for the ad itself, seems to play various different ads all followed by the opera promo:

It's quite out of order really.

The phones4u advert is making noise. Opened a new tab (but wasn't actuall on that tab) and st myself when I heard something dialing, thought my laptop had suddenly made its only dial up modem
